If your prop has any small nicks and burrs and you want to dress them up DO NOT USE A FILE. Instead, use sand paper or emery cloth. A file leaves tungsten carbide imbedded in the prop.
A file also leaves highs and lows and those low points are potential starting points for cracks.
It doesn't take much to throw a prop out of balance, and an out of balance prop can cause damage to lower units and powerheads.
If the nicks are deep,
consider having the prop reconditioned.
