When you are having changes made to your prop you need to:
1. Supply complete and accurate boat info and current rpm's.
2. Be willing to re-adjust the set up to achieve results after the job.
3. Factory speedo's are inherently wrong.
4. Gps's range + or - , not as bad as they were but still some variance.
5. The only way to gain rpm's correctly through prop work is to decrease pitch.
6. Rpm gain does not always equal speed gain, the correct pitch with the right
cup to suit your boat, giving it lift and decreasing drag is where speed gains
are accomplished.
7. No one can save a prop that has been previously worked where a grinder was
used to reduce diameter.
8. A correct build is one that adjust the rpm's of the prop to the operating
range of the motor, adding a cup design that will work the best with the set
up, welding all nicks and dings, balancing the prop, and if it was previously
polished--return it to a mirror finish.
