Fine Tuning Setup |

Propeller geometry manipulation is one of the easiest ways to improve boat performance and to gain top end speed. This requires additional set up work on the part of the boat owner, such as setting the jackplate or engine height correctly and equally balancing the carried load in the boat.
The use of synthetic oils and lubricants also adds to the performance gain as
they reduce power robbing friction.
An additional trick is to blueprint the pad area of the boat. This is done by
making certain that the pad area is a true flat with no hooks or rockers and
making the strakes and all trailing edges sharp.
This followed by a light sanding
with emory cloth to the last 6 inches of the pad will yield noticeable gains
in top end speed.
Finally, never carry more fuel than you can use or any other unnecessary weight.
