Choosing
the Correct Prop
|
|
![]()
I've been asked rather frequently how to choose the correct prop.
Do so by your rated rpm's. Example: If your motor calls for 5600 rpm's at wide open throttle, choose a prop that will let your motor turn these rpm's the way you will normally run your boat.
There are times that you can only get close. That is when some fine tuning of the prop is necessary.
If you are preparing to winterize your boat, that is an excellent time to have all of your repairs made so your boat will be ready the next time you are.
